Lupita Nyong’o has been named the new face of Lancôme cosmetics. The best supporting actress Oscar-winner for 12 Years a Slave joins the lofty ranks of current Lancôme ambassadors Kate Winslet, Julia Roberts and Penelope Cruz and will begin appearing in the company’s TV and magazine advertisements starting later this month. Said Nyong’o in a statement: “I am truly honoured to join the Maison Lancôme, a brand with such a prestigious history and that I have always loved.” The Kenyan actress was recently spotted at the Calvin Klein fashion show in New York and attending the debut of the Miu Miu collection in Paris.
